Victorian Halloween®
This design is inspired by the time of the great Irish migration to North America in the mid-19th century. The Irish brought their festivities and traditions to the United States, where they integrated and transformed Halloween from the ancient Celtic festival that commemorated the beginning of winter, when the souls of the dead walked the earth, into a night of entertainment in which instead of making turnip lanterns, they made them from pumpkins, so abundant there. Halloween night in Victorian America was an excuse for adults and young people to socialize, a time to remember the magic and mystery of the ancient festivities 🎃
